PURPOSE: To contrive to improve durability and hydraulicity of roadbed material and to make scrapped materials recyclable by blending crushed recycled concrete material and steelmaking slag materiel prepared in specified grain sizes, or by further adding thereto blast furnace slags as occasion demands.
CONSTITUTION: Recycled concrete material is made by crushing concrete scraps obtained from demolished buildings or the like into 30mm or below grain size. Slags produced at processes for steelmaking and hot metal preliminary treatment are crushed into 30mm or below grain size, and steelmaking slag material is made thereby. Then out of slags produced at pig iron making process, slow- cooled blast furnace slags are made by crushing, after slow cooling, the said slags into 30mm or below grain size and sand-like granulated slags are made by quenching with water. The recycled concrete material and the steelmaking slag material are blended together and as occasion demands, the slow-cooled blast furnace slags and the granulated slags are added thereto in order to improve strength. Thereby lightweight roadbed material having high durability and stabilized hydraulicity can be obtained.
