Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a hydraulic speed changer having high mechanical efficiency by providing a pressure pocket in the face of a hydraulic speed changer having two tilting cylinder block type axial piston pump/motors subjected to thrust force thereby maintaining static pressure balance. CONSTITUTION:Pressure pockets 24, 25, 26, 12, 13, 27 for leading fluid are made between the outer end of the piston 15 of tilting cylinder block type axial piston pump/motor of hydraulic speed changer and a torque plate 7, a cylinder block 9 and a valve plate 11, and the torque plate 7 and the housing face 28 sliding against said plate 7. Consequently, static pressure balance can be maintained completely against the thrust force resulting in a hydraulic speed chamber having low mechanical friction loss and high efficiency.
