To provide a hydraulic system capable of improving an energy saving effect by regenerating the power of an actuator.
In the hydraulic system, a first motor 32 drives a first hydraulic pump 33, and a boom cylinder 17 is driven by hydraulic fluid delivered from the first hydraulic pump 33. When the boom cylinder is driven in a tare direction and a third hydraulic pump 41 is not operating, a vehicle controller positions a first changeover valve 47 in a regenerating operating position S22, and a second changeover valve 48 in a regeneration operating position S32. Thereby, the hydraulic fluid output from the boom cylinder 17 is sequentially sent through the second changeover valve 48, a regeneration line 50, the first changeover valve 47, and the third hydraulic pump 41 and returned to a tank 8. At that time, an electric motor-cum-generator 40 functions as a generator, and electricity generated by the electric motor-cum-generator 40 is stored in a battery 22.
