Title:
HYDRAULIC TYPE CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3501837
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance the driving performance in a shift lock condition by providing stopper surfaces for locking auxiliary pistons at a position corresponding to a predetermined speed ratio, in a cylinder and by connecting oil chambers in the cylinder to an engine speed governor hydraulic source and a drain part through a hydraulic selector valve so that the oil chambers are selectively connectable to the hydraulic source and the drain part.
CONSTITUTION: The stroke S1 of a main piston 611 is set so as to extend from a retracted position corresponding to a maximum tilting angle to an extended position substantially corresponding to a minimum tilting angle. Further, the stroke of auxiliary pistons 162, 163 is set between a retracted position corresponding to a maximum tilting angle to an extended position corresponding to a set speed ratio given by stopper surfaces 202, 203 formed in a cylinder 164. Oil chambers 181, 182, 183, 174 formed in the front and rear sides of the pistons 161, 162, 163 are selectively connected to an engine speed governor hydraulic source and a drain through the intermediary of a hydraulic selector valve.
