Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the adequate damping effect by maintaining the pressure in a damper chamber of a driving device at the designated level inspite of the variation of an oil viscosity, the driving device drives an intake and exhaust valves with a piston which is arranged in a cylinder and moved according to a supplied oil pressure. CONSTITUTION:At the closing of a supply control part 52, an oil pressure fed from a pressurizing part 51 is fed into an oil pressure chamber 34, that is, a damper chamber 43 through a damper passage 48 from a passage 42. In case of the low oil viscosity, the pressure difference between the primary side (the passage 42 side) of a check valve 46 and the damper chamber 43 inside becomes at the designated pressure level. In case of the high oil viscosity, the check valve 46 is opened, the oil is flowed into the damper chamber 43 from the passage 44. When the pressure in the damper chamber 43 becomes higher than the valve opening pressure of the check valve 47, the valve 47 is opened, then the oil is flowed into a low pressure passage 58. Thereby, the pressure in the damper chamber 43 is maintained within the range of the lift initial setting value, the oil flowed into the damper chamber 43 is gradually increased, accordingly, the rapid acceleration is adequately damped.
