Abstract:
PURPOSE: A hydrocarbon oil composition having improved low-temperature characteristics such as pour point depression, filtering properties at low temperature, comprising specific amounts of an ethylene/allyl acetate copolymer and an ethylene/vinyl acetate/allyl acetate terpolymer having specified ratios respectively.
CONSTITUTION: The desired hydrocarbon oil composition containing 50W3,000 ppm (preferably 100W2,000ppm) (A) a copolymer consisting of 85W60wt% ethylene and 15W40wt% allyl acetate and/or (B) a terpolymer consisting of 85W 60wt% ethylene, 1W5wt% vinyl acetate, and 15W35wt% allyl acetate. The molecular weights shown by intrinsic viscosity of the components A and B are 0.08W 0.30 dl/g(30°C benzene solvent).
