Abstract:
The invention provides a method for hydrogenating a hydrocarbon resin capable of stably and efficiently obtaining a hydrocarbon resin hydride excellent in hue and heat resistance.The invention provides a method for hydrogenating a hydrocarbon resin by which a hydrocarbon resin subjected to stripping treatment is brought into contact with hydrogen in the presence of a nickel catalyst and a hydrogenation reaction is carried out by subjecting a polymer solution of a hydrocarbon resin obtained by cationic polymerization using a Lewis acid catalyst to a stripping treatment.
