Abstract:
The invention relates to a hydrodynamic retarder with a rotor housing (3.0) comprising a rotor (4.0) and a stator housing (1.0) comprising a stator (2.0), wherein the rotor and stator housings are interconnected in such a way that a gap is formed between the rotor and the stator and the retarder comprises means enabling axial displacement of the rotor in relation to the stator. The invention is characterized in that the means enabling axial displacement comprise means for automatically shifting the rotor from a first position to a second position.
