Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a hydrogel plaster having relatively mild skin stimulation by using a nitric acid ester or a nitrous acid ester as an active component and compounding the component with a poly(meth)acrylic acid or its metal salt and water.
CONSTITUTION: This hydrogel plaster is produced by compounding a nitric acid ester or a nitrous acid ester with a metal salt of a poly(meth)acrylic acid and water, kneading the mixture as necessary with various hydrophilic polymers, polyhydric alcohols, oils and fats, surfactants, humectants, crosslinking agents and extenders, spreading the obtained composition on an arbitrary supporting film to form a plaster, applying a prescribed amount of a good solvent solution of the nitric acid ester or nitrous acid ester to the surface of the plaster, covering the coated surface with a covering film and leaving for a prescribed period to effect the impregnation and aging of the components. The nitric acid ester or the nitrous acid ester is useful as an agent for the treatment of circulatory diseases such as stenocardia. The hydrogel plaster is especially preferably composed of nitroglycerin, gelatin, sodium polyacrylate, polyacrylic acid and water.
