Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen catalyst member hardly generating foil tearing especially even when manufacturing long member consecutively for overcoming easy generation of tearing in a foil by deformation when the foil is deformed for setting convex in the foil to set a space between foils for avoiding oxidation of almost peripheral part of etching pit when a hydrogen catalyst member using etched aluminum is laminated or wound to encapsulate into a reaction tube and when porous oxide film is formed by node oxidation of a surface of the foil including inside of the pit for increasing surface area of the foil.SOLUTION: An aluminum foil has a plurality of etching pits by corrosion and provides a hydrogen catalyst member having a feathery γ-alumina layer on its surface with remaining an aluminum metal part between etching pits.
