To provide a hydrogen generating device capable of appropriately preventing a trouble caused by the deviation of a ratio between a water molecule and a raw material (carbon atom number) supplied to a reforming device and having an excellent reliability and durability.
The hydrogen generating device 50A is provided with the reforming device 13 for generating a hydrogen-containing gas by a reforming reaction by using the raw material and the water, a raw material supplying device 17 for supplying the raw material to the reforming device 13, a flow rate measuring device 18 for measuring the flow rate of the raw material supplied to the reforming device, a water supplying device 19 for supplying the water to the reforming device 13 and a controlling device 30A, and the controlling device 30A performs a feedback controlling of a working amount of the raw material supplying device 17 based on a detected value of the flow rate measuring device 18 and also performs the supply abnormality information of the water or the supply stopping of the raw material to the reforming device 13 based on the working amount of the raw material supplying device 17 after the start of the water supply to the reforming device 13 during the supply of the raw material to the reforming device 13.
