Abstract:
To provide a hydrogen generator capable of shortening a start time, in which, in a normal operation time, a carbon monoxide reduction part is not excessively heated, and an insulation part and a reaction vessel are hardly broken compared with prior ones.SOLUTION: Before sufficient heat expansion of a reaction vessel 2 by a combustion operation of a combustor 5c, air is circulated by convection between first and second gaps 16a, 16b, the air heated by the first gap 16a passes through a third gap and enters the second gap 16b for allowing heating of a carbon monoxide reduction part 4 through a cylindrical low temperature part, and after sufficient heat expansion of the reaction vessel 2, although there is the third gap for communicating the first and second gaps 16a, 16b, convection of air between the first and second gaps 16a, 16b is restricted for suppressing excessive heating of the carbon monoxide reduction part 4 by entry of the air heated by the first gap into the second gap through the third gap through the cylindrical low temperature part, by setting of a dimension (shape) of the third gap.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
