Abstract:
To enhance durability of a hydrogen permeable membrane used, for example, at approximately 300-500°C and selectively permeating hydrogen.
The hydrogen permeable membrane is used for selectively permeating the hydrogen and has a crystalline structure comprising a crystal 30 of metal mainly containing a hydrogen permeable metal and having hydrogen permeability. A high hardness metal part 32 comprising a metal having a higher hardness than the metal constituting the crystal 30 is formed on a part of a crystal grain boundary in the crystalline structure.
