Abstract:

To provide a hydrogen production apparatus and a hydrogen production method, by which fuel is safely handled and a large amount of hydrogen is produced.

The fuel 21 for producing hydrogen is prepared by bringing a vessel (outside vessel 2, inside vessel 3) and a cover 6, aluminum 22, lithium 23, magnesium 24 or the like into a treatment chamber 31, making the inside of the vessel into an inert gas atmosphere, then charging the aluminium or the like, and heating the inside of the vessel by an electric heater 15 thereby melting and alloying the solid aluminum 22, lithium 23 and magnesium 24. Then water is supplied to the fuel 21 to cause their reaction, thereby producing the hydrogen.
