Abstract:
To provide a hydrogen production apparatus capable of producing a large quantity of hydrogen with low power.SOLUTION: A hydrogen production apparatus 1 produces hydrogen by mechanochemical reaction between water and a treatment substance that is an inorganic substance. The apparatus comprises: a grinding machine 2 having a feed port 22 and a discharge port 23 for the treatment substance and a cylindrical grinding container 21; a holding tank 3 for the treatment substance processed by the grinding machine; and a circulation line 40 for circulating the treatment substance and water between the grinding machine and the holding tank. A ratio (L/D) of a length (L) to a diameter (D) in an axial direction of a grinding chamber formed in the grinding container is preferably 1 or less, and more preferably 1/3 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
