Abstract:
PURPOSE: To offer a new hydrogen storage alloy, having a large hydrogen. storage emitting quantity and small hysteriesis in the vicinity of ordinary temperature and normal pressure, and a cycle life stable for a long time in an electrolyte; also a hydrogen storage electrode featuring that it is composed of the said hydrogen storage alloy; and moreover a nickel-hydrogen battery having a negative electrode of the hydrogen storage electrode.
CONSTITUTION: A hydrogen storage alloy features that a rational formula by the number of atomic ratio is LnNixAlyFezMu (where Ln: misch metal, rear earth metal, or mixture of them, M: at least one kind of Cu, Nb, and B, and x, y, z, and y: 3.5<x≤5.0, 0.1≤y≤1.5, 0.1≤zη1.5, 0.01≤u≤1.0, and 4.0≤x+y+z+u≤6.0.
