Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen supply apparatus and a hydrogen supply method which perform continuous supply of hydrogen generated from formic acid that is a hydrogen storage substance, while suppressing sharp rise in temperature.SOLUTION: There are provided a hydrogen supply apparatus and a hydrogen supply method, comprising: at least two hydrogen generation means to which formic acid is supplied and which generate hydrogen by a decomposition reaction of formic acid using a catalyst and supply the hydrogen to outside; heating means that is provided on each of the hydrogen generation means to heat the hydrogen generation means; and a transfer pipe that communicates at least two of the hydrogen generation means and transfers a hydrogen-containing gas that contains the hydrogen and a catalyst-containing liquid containing the catalyst in hydrogen generation means that has finished hydrogen supply from the hydrogen supply means that has finished hydrogen supply to hydrogen supply means other than the hydrogen supply means, with the hydrogen-containing gas and the catalyst-containing liquid kept in contact.SELECTED DRAWING: None
