To bring an unreacted-toluene fraction in a process in a dealkylation benzene plant to the commercial product as benzene.
Benzene is extracted as a product from the top of the benzene purification column of a hydrogenating dealkylation benzene plant, and the toluene fractions are all extracted from side cut trays as the product or some parts of the toluene fractions are returned to an hydrogenating dealkylation process for recycling and the remaining parts are extracted as the product. Thus, it is possible to adjust the ratios of benzene and toluene fractions in a product line in response to variation in the demand and price of benzene by bringing the toluene fractions to the commercial product. The toluene fractions extracted are used as high-octane gasoline fuel.
