Abstract:

To optimally inject hydrogen into a suction pipe or a cylinder in a hydrogenation internal combustion engine using hydrogen gas together with gasoline as combustion fuel.

The hydrogenation internal combustion engine 10 using hydrogen gas together with hydrocarbon fuel as combustion fuel is provided with a hydrogen fuel port injection valve 28 injecting hydrogen gas into the suction port 18 or the cylinder, and a regulator 44 regulating pressure of hydrogen gas acting on the hydrogen fuel port injection valve 28 lower as hydrogen quantity injected from the hydrogen fuel port injection valve is lower. Since pressure of hydrogen gas is regulated according to hydrogen quantity injected from the hydrogen fuel port injection valve 28, an unstable zone where hydrogen quantity injected from the hydrogen fuel port injection valve 28 is unstable is not used and hydrogen injection quantity is accurately controlled.
