Abstract:
To provide a membrane having hydrophilic properties over a long period of time even in a state of being free from light irradiation, and to provide a metallic member suitable to a heat exchanging element such as an air-conditioning machine, absorption cooler, refrigeration device, evaporation device, heat exchanger, heat pipe or heat pump.
In a base material and a hydrophilic membrane provided on the base material, the hydrophilic membrane is formed of phyllosilicate-containing fine particles and a binder dispersed into the membrane, and the binder joins the fine particles each other and the fine particles and the base material.
