Abstract:
To provide a hydrostatic bearing operable when starting a guide object member by relatively low oil feeding pressure.
A hydrostatic bearing is provided for guiding a guide object member 16 by supplying lubricating oil to a load area 17 of a bearing part 14 for supporting the guide object member 16, a static pressure pocket 15 is arranged in a load area part 17 of the bearing part 14, and the center of the oil feeding pressure when supplying the lubricating oil to the static pressure pocket 17, is arranged in a dislocated position to the center C11 of the load area part 17 so as to support the guide object member 16 as a cantilever by the oil feeding pressure of the lubricating oil.
