To provide a bulged product and a bulging method for forming work hardening on a required part without any additional step or any special device when performing the hydrostatic bulging of a metal plate or a deformed tube.
Fluid is poured on one or two stock metal plates held by a pair of upper and lower dies, and the metal plates are bulged in a cavity of the dies to form a hydrostatic bulged product. Alternatively, fluid is poured on a deformed stock tube having the circumference with the outside diameter thereof being gradually increased or decreased from one side to the other of the axial direction which is held by the pair of upper and lower dies and a tool, and the deformed tube is swollen in the cavity of the dies to form a hydrostatic bulged product of the deformed tube having a plurality of outwardly projecting parts or inwardly pressed-in recessed parts on its outer surface. The area having the projecting parts or recessed parts is preferably ≥ 5% of the entire area of the bulged product.
