To carry out the positioning and holding of a rotary body without providing a sleeve on an output shaft.
The hydrostatic continuously-variable-transmission (CVT) is configured by coupling a constant displacement hydraulic pump P with a variable displacement hydraulic motor M via a closed hydraulic circuit. In this transmission, an output rotary element is configured by connecting a pump cylinder 22 and a motor cylinder 23 so as to sandwich a distribution valve 50 between them, and is arranged on the output shaft 6 of the transmission. One end surface of the output rotary element in the axial direction comes into contact with a restricting portion 6f formed on the output shaft 6 of the transmission. In addition, the other end surface of the output rotary element comes into contact with an engaging member 80 attached to the output shaft 6 of the transmission. As a result, the output rotary element is axially positioned and mounted on the output shaft 6 of the transmission.
