To provide an output shaft reversely rotating means in a hydrostatic continuously variable transmission including: a hydraulic pump formed of a plurality of plungers provided in cylinders, and a hydraulic motor respectively provided between two swash plates; a hydraulic circuit provided between the plunger of the hydraulic pump and the plunger of the hydraulic motor and including a high-pressure oil passage feeding an operating fluid from the hydraulic pump to a hydraulic motor side, a low-pressure oil passage feeding the operating fluid from the hydraulic motor side to a hydraulic pump side, and a hydraulic selector valve, which switches the plunger to the high-pressure oil passage or the low-pressure oil passage by abutting on the inner peripheral surface of an eccentric cam ring and reciprocating in the radial direction of a valve body; and a lock-up mechanism, which changes a speed ratio by tilting at least one of the swash plates and which closes the hydraulic circuit by displacing the eccentric cam ring by the actuator.
The actuator further drives the eccentric cam ring to displace it in a direction reverse to the direction in the normal operation to rotate an output shaft in a direction reverse to the inputting rotating direction.
