PURPOSE: To reduce a noise emission generated in a machinery by separating an area in the interior of a housing, located radially outside a stroke ring reciprocating a plurality of pistons in a radial direction through a shoe, from the interior of the housing.
CONSTITUTION: A cylinder block 17 is joined to a driving shaft 13 rotatably supported in a housing 10 with a joint, and a plurality of pistons 18 are arranged in a star in the block 17. When functioned as a pump, fluid inhaled from a low pressure passage is multiplied in voltage thereof to be discharged out of a high pressure passage by reciprocating each piston 18 in a radial direction through a shoe 19 sliding along an inner surface of a stroke ring 20. In such a machinery, the interior of a housing 26 located radially outside the stroke 20 is separated from the interior of a housing 25. Middle pressure which is slightly higher than atmospheric pressure is generated to reduce a noise emission.
