Abstract:
To obtain a thermosetting composition having good storage stability, usable as a high solid one-pack type and, at a comparatively low temperature, forming a cured product excellent in chemical performance, physical performance, weather resistance, and the like, and to provide a hydroxy acid hemiacetal ester derivative useful for providing the composition.
The hydroxy acid hemiacetal ester derivative is obtained by using a hydroxy acid having 1-6 carboxyl groups and 1-6 hydroxy group as a raw material and reacting it with a specified vinylether group, vinylthioether group, or a cyclic vinylether or a cyclic vinylthioether. The ester derivative has ≥ one blocked carboxyl groups and ≥ one hydroxy groups in one molecule.
