PURPOSE: To provide a composition containing a hydroxyproyl cellulose with a low degree of substitution that, when added to a tablet even in a small amount, gives excellent collapsability and fluidity and allows a highly dense tablet to be produced and a tablet that is bonded with a hydroxyproyl cellulose with a low degree of substitution.

CONSTITUTION: There is provided a hydroxyproyl cellulose with a low degree of substitution that has an angle of repose of less than 45° and when 20 pts.wt. that hydroxyproyl cellulose and 80 pts.wt. activated alumina are molded under a molding pressure of 1 ton into a disk having a diameter of 15mm, the degree of selling of the molded disk due to absorption of water exhibits 100% or more.
