PURPOSE: To provide a pen type command output device which can easily output various commands only by moving the contact positions of fingers gripping a pen and the fingers.

CONSTITUTION: A command generation part 7 generates and outputs command signals for screen control over the scrolling, page changing, etc., of an image displayed on the display screen of a data processor and editing command signals for movement, correction, deletion, etc., to a command output part 6 on the basis of the finger position or finger movement detection signal inputted from a touch detection part 4. Further, a mode signal showing an editing mode is generated in response to the signal from a pressure sensor 5 and outputted to the command output part 6, which sends the inputted command signal to the data processor with an infrared-light emission signal.
