Abstract:
PURPOSE: To achieve high quality printing by preventing the occurrence of stains in printing paper resulting from residual ink stuck on the print-receiving surface lying in opposition to a head in a platen for ink jet printer.
CONSTITUTION: An ink reservoir 5b is disposed in the print-receiving surface of a platen 5 and the ink reservoir 5b is made up of a continuous groove.
