PURPOSE: To reduce the time and labor for the setting and to eliminate the setting eliminable by displaying contents with the highest setting frequency and correcting only contents different from required contents out of the contents of respective displayed the items.

CONSTITUTION: An image document inputted from an input part 2 is recorded in an image recording part 1 by a control part 3. Then, contents with the highest setting frequency in each item is supplied from an item frequency recording part 7 to the control part 3 and a title input picture is displayed on a display part 4 through the control part 3. If a item or a part to be changed out of the contents of the items exists, required contents are inputted and corrected through a keyboard or the like attached to the input part 2 and the contents of titles to be registered are recorded in a recording part 5 through the control part 3. An input (setting) frequency reconstituting part 8 reconstitutes the setting frequency of the contents of respective title items based upon the set title information and stores the set frequency information in the recording part 7 through the control part 3.
