Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make the alignability of a paper sheet bundle so as not to be disarranged by installing such a means as selecting a front support-action release position so as to make a front support retreat and return after separating from a reciprocating travel member in an acting position attitude and engaging this reciprocating travel member in a release position attitude. CONSTITUTION:When a front support is shifted to an acting position by a release means 138 at the time of forward conveyance of paper sheets, this front support 109 separates from a timing belt 190, and it is pressed by forward motion of a rear support 111, and it orderly conveys the paper sheets as restraining the paper sheets over the full length of conveyance with almost uniform force. If the forward motion of the rear support 111 is stopped at the target position, such a changeover as shifting the front support 109 from the acting position to the release position is not affected by any special force of a spring or the like, so that it is so easy and performed without disarranging a position of the paper sheet at the forefront row. In addition, this front support 109 is engaged with the belt 190 at a stage of being shifted to the release posi tion, thus it is restored to the home position.
