PURPOSE: To decide the disposal of a photosensitive material according to the length of the photosensitive material withdrawn in the exchanging timing of a magazine and to smoothly remove the magazine while minimizing the rest amount.
CONSTITUTION: If the front end of a photosensitive material 14 is not detected when the rear end is detected by a rear end detecting sensor 72, an exchange of magazine 102 with the pulled out photosensitive material 14 or an exchange of the magazine 102 after pulling out of all the rest of the photosensitive material 14 and conveying of it to an exposure unit is directed, while the photosensitive material 14 is discharged in unexposed condition to the outside of the device. When the front end of the photosensitive material 14 is detected and M+C-S<L, the photosensitive material 14 is cut by the length complying with the specified size, and ordinary exposure is carried out only once, and then, an exchange of the magazine 102 is directed. When the front end of the photosensitive material 14 is detected and in the case of M+C-S≥L, the photosensitive material 14 is cut to be conveyed to the exposure unit, replacement of the magazing 102 is directed, and then, the photosensitive material 14 is discharged in unexposed condition to the outside of the device. In this way, the pulled out photosensitive material 14 receives extremely less damage, and removing work of fragments is facilitated even in the case of damage.
