Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the title conductive polymer compsite having high electrochemical activity and having high conductivity by forming the composite from manganese dioxide and a polymer obtained by electrolytic polymerization. CONSTITUTION:The synthesis of the compsite consists basically in the electrolytic polymerization of an electrolytically polymerizable monomer and the simultaneous electrolytic synthesis of MnO2. Platinum, high-Cr stainless steel, etc., are used as an anode 3, platinum, platinum black, etc., are used as a cathode 4, pyrrole, thiophene, thienylpyrrole, aniline, etc., are used as the monomer, and the Mn salt such as Mn sulfate and Mn chloride is used as the supporting electrolyte to carry out electrolysis. By this method, a film of the composite (molecular composite) wherein polypyrrole, polythiophene, polythienylpyrrole, polyaniline, etc., and MnO2 are uniformly mixed is obtained on the anode 3. A conductive film with the conductivity controlled in a wide range is obtained by using this conductive polymer composite, and electrochemical activity higher than MnO2 is obtained.
