Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a furniture item with lattice work of slats consisting of the plural number of first slats arranged adjacent to each other extending in a first direction and the plural number of second slats arranged adjacent to each other extending in a second direction. CONSTITUTION: Horizontal support bodies 116A and 116B are flat segments of laminated wood without dents, supporting slats 108A-108F which are lined up and adhered at crossing points. The horizontal support body 116A is a folded laminated bar conforming to a 36 deg. circular segment, and the horizontal support body 116B is a straight-lined member. When the horizontal support body 116A is inserted into the upper part of the backrest, the backrest slats 108A-108F are dented and reformed from the flat plane condition at the bottom of the backrest formed by the horizontal support body 116B to the curved arc plane condition. Therefore, physical comfortableness and safety are given to a user.
