Title:
METHOD FOR FEEDING GLASS MATERIAL FOR OPTICAL DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06100321
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the subject method ensuring malappearance not to be induced even if a releasant is used.

CONSTITUTION: A glass material 1 is put to vacuum adsorption using an upper finger 3 and conveyed to a location where a conveying jig 2 is prepared. On lowering the glass material 1, a lower finger 4 comes into contact with the glass material 1 before the material 1 is threaded into the jig 2. The upper finger 3 is lowered and the glass material 1 is threaded into the jig 2 with said material kept in contact with the lower finger 4. Then, both the upper and lower fingers are retreated, completing the feed of the glass material. The bed for the glass material in the jig 2 is coated with a releasant. Since the effective surface of the glass material is covered with the lower finger 4, a splash of the releasant does not adhere to the effective surface.
