PURPOSE: To reduce the size and cost of a paper feeding cassette by providing a push-up member comprising a pair of elastic materials for pushing up the front end both side parts of sheets toward the lower surface of a separating member.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of front end guides 3 and 3 to position the front end of sheets, a pair of side end guides 4 and 4 to position the side end, the rear end guide 5 to position the rear end, and a pair of separating parts 6 and 6 to feed sheets separately one by one are arranged in a cassette main body 2. Also a pair of push-up members 7 and 7 to push up and press the both front end parts of sheet toward and against the lower surface of the pair of separating parts 6 and 6 are arranged in the cassette main body 2. By this, when a take-out roller is made in contact with the upper surface of the uppermost sheet and rotated, the uppermost sheet only rides on the pair of separating parts 6 and 6 to separate it from the sheets under it. Thus the sheet separated is fed into a printing device main body.
