Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently and industrially advantageously dehydrogenating a hydrocarbon compound. SOLUTION: This method for dehydrogenating the hydrocarbon compound comprises using supercritical carbon dioxide or liquefied carbon dioxide as a solvent, and irradiating the hydrocarbon compound with light in the presence of a transition metal complex having at least one ligand composed of a phosphine compound.
