PURPOSE: To clean a lint collecting device without any need of detaching the device from the internal side of a drum by applying a suction force with the suction port of a cleaner kept near the device from the front thereof, as constitution for separating and arresting dirt such as lint for each dirt collection chamber.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of dust collection chambers 16-1-3 are formed in the dust collection filter 16-1 of a lint collecting device 16, out of divisions 16-1-1 approximately in parallel to the flow direction of exhaust in a drum 3 and net filters 16-1-2 such as a polyester net covering the downstream side of the air in the drum 3. The divisions 16-1-1 and the net filters 16-1-2 are fastened to each other without any gap. Furthermore, a nonwoven fabric filter 16-2 such as synthetic fiber is fitted downstream of the air through the net filter 16-l-2 in the drum 3. When the device 16 is cleaned after the finish of drying operation, the suction port 20 of a cleaner is kept at the front of the device 16 as mounted on a filter support seat 19, and a lump C of lint collected in each of the chambers 16-1-3 is drawn.
