Abstract:
PURPOSE: Provided is a fabric softener composition for giving fragrance to fabric by the cleavage of a fragrance precursor when the fabric softener composition is applied to the fabric. CONSTITUTION: The fabric softener composition comprises a surfactant as a fabric softener and the fragrance precursor as well as an enzyme suitable for cleaving the fragrance precursor. The enzyme is at least one selected from the group consisting of protease, amylase, lipase, and cellulase. And the fragrance precursor is represented by the formula YLmRn, wherein Y is a carrier residue, L is a divalent bond residue, m is 0 or an integer of 1 to n (n is an integer of 1 or more), and R is an enol type residue of fragrance alcohol, oxime, or aldehyde or ketone.
