Title:
METHOD FOR PACKING FIBER ASSEMBLAGE INTO MOLD, PRODUCTION OF MOLDED CUSHION BODY AND DEVICE THEREFORE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0631062
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce the molded cushion body with high productivity under good working environment by laminating and placing fiber assemblages onto an air permeable mold while a negative pressure is maintained on the rear of the molding surface to produce a boxed body and subjecting the boxed body to a heat treatment to fuse the interlinked points of the fibers, thereby producing the molded cushion body.

CONSTITUTION: Roving 1 is cut to a length corresponding to the mold 7 by a cutting mechanism provided in a transferring and supplying means 6 and the cut roving 8 is laminated and placed on the molding surface 10 of the mold 7. A mold constituted of an air permeable structural material is used for the mold 7. Air is sucked through a suction duct 9 from the lower part in a frame 21 supporting the mold 7 to maintain the negative pressure on the rear side space of the molding surface 10. The boxed body having the shape nearly corresponding to the molding surface 10 of the mold is obtd. when a prescribed amt. of the roving 8 is laminated and placed onto the molding surface 10 of the mold. While the boxed body is successively transferred in a hot air heating path, the boxed body is heat treated, by which the fibers are partly melted and the interlinked parts of the fibers are fused.
