Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a photosensitive element used for formation of a water- based developable flexographic printing plate.

CONSTITUTION: This photosensitive element consists of a base and a water-based developable element including (a) a elastomeric microgel binder having crosslinkable elastomeric cores and thermoplastic non-crosslinked shells, (b) an initiator, (c) an ethylenic unsatd. monomer or oligomer and an arbitrary (d) basic compd. capable of neutralizing an acid functional value.
