PURPOSE: To manufacture a high-precision head, by a method wherein a plurality of short-sized partial recording which are made integrally by firing a lower part electrode, insulation layer and upper part electrode are joined to each other and a recording head having a desired length is constituted.
CONSTITUTION: A lower part electrode 2-1 is formed on a comparatively thick substrate by printing conductive paste into a predetermined form by excluding both end parts of a longitudinal direction of the substrate and a lower part insulation layer 3 is laminated. Furthermore, an upper part electrode 4-1-m is formed by printing conductive paste on the substrate into a predetermined form by excluding both end parts of longitudinal direction of the substrate and the above-mentioned insulation layer is laminated. Then after pressure-contacting, the lower and upper parts electrodes and the lower and upper part insulation layers are formed integrally into predetermined forms, cut off at a cutting-off end part 12 and short-sized head main body part 8 is is obtained. Then two pieces of the short-sized head main body parts 8-1, 8-2 are prepared, they are joined to each other under a state wherein cutting-off end parts 12 are butted against each other and a piece of recording head is obtained. At this time, the two pieces are positioned and fixed so that the upper part electrodes 4-m at the time of butting are in parallel with each other and a space between them becomes desired one.
