Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain substitutive communication by means of terminal equipment other than a present one by sending a call control message, which rejects call setting, with adding the ISDN address of the substitutively receiving terminal equipment to the call control message at the time of communicating operation inability due to an incoming call, and re-calling the equipment by means of the calling side based on the ISDN address. CONSTITUTION:Network termination equipment NT is connected to the subscriber line of an ISDN(Integrated Services Digital Network), respective types of terminal equipment TE1 to TEn are connector-connected to the customer station bus of the network termination equipment NT, and sub-addresses of the respective pieces of the terminal equipment TE1 to TEn are set at SA1 to SAn. When the incoming call arrives at the terminal equipment TE1 to TEn, and receiving operation cannot be executed, the ISDN number and the sub-address of the substitutively receiving terminal are set at 'the user.user information' of a release completion message 'REL COM', they are sent, and the calling side re-calls the terminal concerned according to the information. Thus, when one of the terminal equipment TE1 to TEn cannot execute communication, the other terminal equipment TE1 to TEn can execute the substitutive communication.
