Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the structure of a metallic mold for casting so as to be able to directly heat or cool molten metal in a cavity space.
CONSTITUTION: Inserts 2 having many fine holes communicating the cavity space 5 and the outer part are arranged at a part of the metallic mold 1 and means 3, 4 for heating or cooling the molten metal in the cavity space 5 are arranged at the back surface of the inserts 2. By this structure, the molten metal can directly be heated or cooled through the fine holes.
