PURPOSE: To form multilayered coating films having an excellent finishing property, chipping resistance, etc., by simultaneous curing by using a specific cation electrodeposition coating material, barrier coat and org. solvent type coating material.
CONSTITUTION: The cation electrodeposition coating material has ≤10wt.% loss of the coating film at the time of curing by heating. A resin contg. a hydroxyl group and cationic group is used as an essential component. Further, an epoxy resin contg. average ≥2 pieces, per molecule, epoxy group-contg. functional groups formed by bonding the epoxy groups to alicyclic skeleton and/or org. alicyclic skeleton is used as an essential component. The barrier coat is a chipping resistant primer consisting essentially of a modified polyolefin resin having -30 to -60°C static glass transition temp. of the formed coating film. The org. solvent type coating material of the extreme surface contains a polyester based resin, amino resin and alicyclic epoxy compd. The multilayered coating films are formed by simultaneously curing the three-layered coating films mentioned above.
