PURPOSE: To provide a bag making device for separator in which the displacement of a separator to an electrode plate is prevented, and both lateral ends of the separator can be precisely pressed or fused to each other.
CONSTITUTION: A separator 3 is folded double nearly in a V-shape, and an electrode plate 1 is put between them. A bag making device of separator is formed of press rollers 4 consisting of a pair of rollers for passing, between them, the separator 3 having a plurality of parallel ribs 2 along the longitudinal direction on the inside and a plurality of low projections 6 in conformation to the ribs 2 on the outside, and pressing the separator 3 onto the electrode plate 1; and a device 5 for fusing or mechanically pressing both lateral ends of the two-folded separator 3 having the electrode plate 1 put between to each other. In determined positions of the rollers 4, a plurality of recessed parts 7 conformed to the low projections 6 on the outside of the separator 3 are provided, and the projections 6 are passed in the recessed parts 7, whereby the position of the separator 3 is corrected.
