PURPOSE: To execute the safe discharge treatment of medical treatment waste by sending a housing container in which the medical treatment waste is housed and which is hermetically sealed to a heating chamber, sterilizing the medical treatment waste and melting the waste together with the container with hot air and cooling the melt thereof, then pulverizing the cooled waste.
CONSTITUTION: This device is installed in a housing box 26 mounted on a vehicle 27 and is placed on the medical treatment waste container 1 recovered in respective medical organs, by which the automatic treatment is executed. Namely, the container 1 on a conveyor 4 is charged into a heating chamber 2 and after its opening is closed by a shutter 6, the hot air generated by a hot air generator 11 is circulated through the heating chamber 2 by a duct 9, by which the medical treatment waste is sterilized and is melted together with the container 1. The melt is flowed down by gravity into a melt tank 15 where the melt is parted to small lumps 14' by means of a cutter 17 in common use as a closing cap. These small lumps are sent to a conveyor 19 and are allowed to cool during the transportation of coarse or are cooled by a cooler 21. In succession, the lumps are pulverized by a pulverizing machine 22 and are recovered into a bucket 24 which is embedded in reclaimed lands, etc.
