Title:
PRODUCTION OF CAPSULATED TONER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0627716
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an improved production method of a capsulated toner composition without using interfacial polymerization.
CONSTITUTION: An olefin series monomer, a pigment and an org. phase containing the first resin A soluble into the org. phase are mixed with each other, and this org. phase is dispersed as fine droplets in an aq. soln. containing a surfactant. The obtained mixture is heated and subjected to a free radical polymerization to convert the olefin series monomer into the second resin B. Since the resin B and the resin A are not compatible to each other, they are phase-separated to generate a core and a shell.
