Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for optical fiber grating measurement which can measure a correct distortion amount with a resolutions in the order of millimeter even at a place where the temperature rapidly changes, such as outdoors. SOLUTION: A wavelength control part 8 performs a synchronization control to make an transmission wavelength of a variable wavelength laser 1 synchronize a refection peak wavelength of a reflected light signal from a network analyzer 2, and outputs the variation of the wavelength required for the synchronization of the transmission wavelength of the variable wavelength laser 1 to a temperature/distortion conversion part 9. The variation of the wavelength required for the synchronization of the transmission wavelength of the variable wavelength laser 1 from the wavelength control part 8 is converted to temperature using a prepared variation of wavelength-temperature conversion table.
