PURPOSE: To surely dissolve a powdery detergent by removably providing a detergent storage container having a water-permeable bag storing the powdery detergent at a position where it is rubbed by the stream and clothes on the inside wall of a washing/spin-drying tub.
CONSTITUTION: A stream is generated in the washing water of a washing/spin- drying tub 4 by the rotation of rotary blades 5, and the clothes in the washing/ spin-drying tub 4 are circulated. A detergent storage container 19 is removably fitted on the inside wall 4b of the washing/spin-drying tub 4. The detergent storage container 19 is constituted of a bag 19a formed with a water-permeable material, e.g. a net, and storing a powdery detergent and a frame section 19b fitting and fixing the mouth section of the bag 19a in the open state and forming a detergent insertion port to be inserted with the powdery detergent. A hold section formed with holding grooves at both side sections is provided on the inside wall 4b of the washing/spin-drying tub 4, the frame section 19b of the detergent storage container 19 is inserted into the holding grooves from above, and the detergent storage container 19 is fitted.
